A key facet of the exchange program is BK Style© “Stitch for

Success™” program, which empowers at- risk youth by providing them

with sewing machine and classes. The same is provided to people in

developing countries. Similarly, the “A Needle Pulling Thread™”, the

non- profit sister to “Stitch for Success™”, will provide and set up

sewing classing and mentorship in the fashion business for the

program.

The program is working with corporations and individuals to collect

sewing machines and other sewing materials. All the items donated will

be collected and distributed. Along with the sewing machines, the

program will take a group of professionals in the fashion industry to

deliver short seminars in developing countries that will, hopefully, set a

number of participants on the road to financial independence.

Your participation in BK Style©/Brooklyn Fashion Week{end}™ won’t

only provide the invaluable opportunity to emerging global talent to

showcase their art to a horde of media/press, buyers and industry

insiders, it will also make a major difference to the community and

charities to which we lend our support. Our heartfelt thanks to all those

who have supported the Stitch for Success™ program, because of

these donation several young designers now have the tool to make their

dreams come true. We look forward to showcasing some of the pieces

made from the donations at BK Fashion Week{end}’s ™ Fall/Winter
